Obituary

Wilbur "Wib" Snyder, 85, formerly of Rapho Twp. and Manheim, went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2011 at Masonic Health Care Center, Elizabethtown, PA. Born in Rapho Twp., he was the son of the late Levi B. and Hettie Mumma Snyder. Prior to retiring, Wib was employed for 30 years as a realtor by Town and Country Realty in Lancaster, PA. In his retirement, he was engaged in property management until 2007. Earlier in his life, he was a farmer in Rapho Twp. for 25 years. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manheim, PA. A 32nd degree mason, he was a member of the Casiphia Lodge No. 551, F&AM, Mount Joy, PA. He was a former member of the Zembo Shrine in Harrisburg. He enjoyed spending time in the mountains of Pennsylvania, hunting, going to property sales, and watching professional football. He is survived by five children, James, husband of Marilyn Nosal Snyder of Mount Joy, Larry, husband of Sandra Laird Snyder of Rockhill Furnace, PA, Gwendolyn Snyder of Lititz, Donald Snyder of Mount Joy, and Steven, husband of Patty Shenk Snyder of Mount Joy; four grandsons and one granddaughter; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene, wife of the late Glen Brubaker, and Thelma, wife of John Kraybill, all of Lititz; a brother, Glen, husband of Mary Snyder, of Manheim; and an aunt, Mary Snyder, of Ephrata. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin B. Snyder. A memorial service will be held at John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, PA at a later date. There will be no viewing. Please omit flowers.
