Obituary

Velma A. Koser, 92, of Lancaster, PA, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lancaster, PA. Born in Hillsville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Ceba Bea and Minnie Opal (Dalton) Young. She was the wife of the late C. William Weaver whom she married on June 29, 1952.

Velma graduated from Manheim High School in 1950 and went on to work for many years as a bank teller for Fulton Bank, mostly in the Manheim Center Square branch. She was a member of Mt. Hope Episcopal Church. She was an avid gardener and birdwatcher and enjoyed rug-braiding, traveling and shopping.

She is survived by a son, Steven D., husband of Lori Weaver, of El Paso, TX; a grandson, Adam C. Weaver; and two great grandchildren, Cheyenne Weaver and Jaxon Dumas. She was also preceded in death two siblings, C. Lee Young of Manheim, and Wanda U. Parker of Milton, FL.

A private interment will be in East Fairview Brethren Cemetery, Manheim. If desired, contributions may be made to Spina Bifida Association, 215 East State Street, Suite D, Quarryville, PA 17566.
