Sharon L. (Renninger) Eckert, 79, of Mountville, PA, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at the Bob Fryer and Family Inpatient Center of Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy following a month-long illness. Born in Lewisburg, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Leroy Renninger and the late Mary K. (Reigle) Straub. She was the wife of Patrick S. Eckert for 44 years this month.

Sharon was a 1965 graduate of Woodbridge (NJ) High School and was employed as an insurance agency secretary and later in life enjoyed selling Avon. She loved people, loved to laugh, and had an easy smile. Sharon enjoyed many different hobbies and activities in life, especially family gatherings.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three siblings, William Renninger of Lancaster, Mary, wife of Marlin Kover, of Manheim, and Melissa, wife of Sino Curreli, of Mount Joy; and many nieces and nephews who showered here with their love. She was also preceded in death by a younger brother, Marlin Straub.
