Obituary

Ruth E. Zarzycki, 78, of Lancaster, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, died on Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Bob Fryer and Family Inpatient Center, Mount Joy.  She was born on August 27, 1943 in Philadelphia to the late Harold G. and Ruth E. (Calloway) Montroy.

Ruth served as the past president of the Lutheran Settlement House, Philadelphia.

In addition to her parents Ruth was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Mercy Fasarakis.

Ruth is survived by her husband Walter S. Zarzycki, children, Elaine D. Lord of Lancaster, Kimberly A. Fasarakis of Lancaster, Janet M. Lord of Philadelphia, Edward W. Ormsby of Norristown, step-children, Christina M. (Pat) Gorey of Homosassa, FL, Marcella (Jim) McGarvey of Frederick, MD, Jennifer A. (Troy) Anusky of Philadelphia and Nicole E. (Andy) Pondillo of Youngstown, OH, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 23 rd at 11:00 AM at Heritage Baptist Church, 502 E. Adele Avenue, Manheim, with Pastor Michael Hunt officiating. The family will receive guests from 10:00 AM to the time of the service. All are invited to join the family at a luncheon immediately following the service. Interment will be private. Wearing of masks and observing social distancing are encouraged. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's name to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
