Richard L. "Tiny" Oberholtzer, 79, formerly of Elizabethtown, PA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday morning, May 8, 2018 at Elizabethtown Nursing Center following a lengthy decline in health. Born in Hershey, he was the son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Kunkle Oberholtzer. He was the husband of Alpha K. Greenawalt Oberholtzer for 54 years prior to her passing in 2014.
Tiny was a charter member of God's Missionary Church in Salunga. He was employed as a truck driver by Newcomer Oil Corporation and more recently as a school bus driver by the former Laidlaw Transit, both in Elizabethtown.
Tiny was a dedicated fire policeman and a life member of the Rheems, Mount Joy, and Elizabethtown Fire Police. He was also a Lancaster County Fire Police Chaplain. He enjoyed attending Camp Meetings and church activities.
He is survived by a daughter, Laycene R. Rosenfeld of Lancaster; and a sister, Victoria of Lebanon.
There will be no public viewing or service. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Brethren in Christ Cemetery in Mount Joy. Please omit flowers.
