Paul P. C. Ling, Jr., 38, of 281 Cedar Hollow, Manheim, PA, formerly of Toronto, Ontario, CN, unexpectedly went home to be with his heavenly Father on Monday morning, August 31, 2009 at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA due to natural causes. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, CN, he was the son of Paul C. P. and Relita Goyena Ling of Toronto. He was the loving husband of Tina A. Snyder Ling. They were married for 13 years. A committed Christian, Paul attended Manheim Brethren in Christ Church. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Development from the University of Toronto. Following graduation, he completed an internship for agricultural development with ECHO in Fort Myers, FL. Paul and his wife served for three years as missionaries to Nicaragua with Food for the Hungry. Presently, he was employed as an information specialist by Tyco Electronics in Middletown, PA. Paul will be remembered as a "gentle giant". He cherished spending time with family and friends. Paul enjoyed playing guitar, golfing, and oil painting. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Noah Brent Ling, at home; siblings, Michael, husband of Carolyn Ling and Chrissie, wife of Alvin Shum, all of Toronto; nephews, Miles Shum and Eli Ling; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Paul was a wonderful husband and father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A funeral service will be held on Friday morning, September 4, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Manheim Brethren in Christ Church, 54 North Penryn Road, Manheim, PA with Rev. Lou Astuto and Dr. Bill Taylor officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday evening from 6-8:00 PM and on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
