Minola Meiser, 92, died at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim, PA, on Saturday morning, December 11, 2010 due to complications resulting from an automobile accident August 27, 2009. Minola Evans Meiser was born March 22, 1918 in Shamokin, PA. She was the tenth child born to William and Mary Gensel Evans. She was a 1935 graduate of the former Coal Township High School in Shamokin. She and her husband, Robert L. Meiser (d. August 31, 1990), moved to Lancaster, PA in September 1955. They were active members of the former Grace Evangelical Congregational Church in Lancaster. Minola was a charter member and the oldest living member of Grace Community E.C. Church in Willow Street, PA. She was a former Fulton Bank employee. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Lou Kocher, wife of Frederick W. Kocher, of Lancaster; a grandson, E. Rob Cauller, of Manheim; two great granddaughters, Emily and Haley; and a sister, Violet Rummel Long, of Serenity Gardens, Kulpmont, PA. The family wishes to express gratitude to the staff at Pleasant View and Hospice of Lancaster County for the loving care they provided. A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Hoffer Auditorium at Pleasant View Retirement Community, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim, PA with Pastor Wilmer Martin officiating. Interment will be private in the Strasburg Mennonite Cemetery. The family will receive guests at Hoffer Auditorium on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. The family requests that flowers please be omitted. If desired, contributions may be made in Minola's memory to Pleasant View Retirement Community.
