Michael C. Wagner, 47, of Manheim, PA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday afternoon, August 29, 2017 at Bob Fryer and Family Inpatient Center of Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy following a courageous year-long battle with brain cancer. He was the son of Richard T., Sr. and Shirley A. Heagy Wagner of Manheim. He was the loving husband of Michelle R. Faus Wagner. They would have been married for 25 years on November 28.
Mike faithfully attended Chiques Church of the Brethren. He was a 1988 graduate of Hempfield High School where he had a successful wrestling career. He enjoyed his employment of more than 25 years with Stiegel Construction as a fine craftsman, building and remodeling custom homes. His leisure time was spent relaxing in the mountains, riding an ATV, or vacationing with family at the shore. Mike was always quick to help those in need.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by three daughters, Madelyn R. Wagner, Abigail J. Wagner, and Lily M. Wagner, all at home; a brother, Richard T., Jr., husband of Marie Wagner, of Cary, NC; and his parents-in-law, Gerald and Carolyn Schrag Faus, of Manheim. He was preceded in death by a brother, Randall S. Wagner.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Chiques Church of the Brethren, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim, PA with ministers Ron Strickler and Nate Myer officiating.
