Mary Ann Williams, 55, of Lancaster, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, June 8, 2011 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Dillon, SC, she was the daughter of J.P. Williams of Dillon and the late Betty Jo Williams.
Mary Ann loved and served her Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of Open Door Pentecostal Mission in East Petersburg, PA. Prior to retiring in 2007, she was employed for 29 years as a material handler by Y&S Candies in Lancaster. Mary Ann enjoyed shopping with a particular fondness for purses.
In addition to her father, she is survived by three children, Al Williams, fiancé of Omayra Ramirez, of East Petersburg, Billy Ray Williams, and Tameka Williams, both of Lancaster; four grandchildren; and three brothers, Thomas Williams of Lancaster, John (Tonya) Williams of Lancaster, and David Williams of Dillon, SC. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a son, Arvin Williams.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning, June 14, 2011 at 11 AM at Open Door Pentecostal Mission, 6139 Main Street, East Petersburg, PA with Pastors Angel DeJesus and Al Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster, PA. The family will receive guests at the church on Monday evening from 7-9:00 PM and on Tuesday morning from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
