M. Laverne Carpenter, 81, of Manheim, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday morning, October 8, 2015, with her children by her side. Born in Foster Falls, VA, she was the daughter of the late Virgil K. and Opal Gallimore Ogle. She was the wife of Carl E. "Gene" Carpenter, Sr, for 53 years prior to his passing in 2008.
