Obituary

Linda M. Eckert was a beautiful woman, a trusting friend, and mother to all. She entered rest on Thursday evening, May 21, 2015. She loved the simple things in life. Her family & friends meant everything to her including her "furry children" of which there were many in her lifetime. She truly was the matriarch from which many lives depended. She was a hard worker, very proud of her ethics with a strong sympathy for the underdog. She defied many odds, working so hard to provide her children the best while teaching them humility, understanding, & patience. She embodied independence drawing incredible strength from within. The daughter of the late Jesse R. and Anna E. Hilt Andrews, Linda is survived by her husband, Kevin D. Eckert, of Manheim, as well as her two children, Lori A. Cosgrove (John Spencer) of Manheim and Robert E. Haake (Tanya Flores) of Mount Joy. She also leaves behind stepchildren, Christa Eckert (Wilbur Thornton) of Lancaster, Michelle (Eric) Stauffer of Lititz, and Gregory (Nakia) Eckert of Lancaster. Her grandchildren include Ian C. Cosgrove, Casey L. Cosgrove, and Jude P. Haake along with four step grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday evening May 29, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Chiques Church of the Brethren, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim with Michael S. Hess officiating. There will be no viewing.
