Obituary

Leonard "Len" Norton, 67, passed to eternity on Thursday evening, May 23, 2013 at Denver Health and Rehabilitation Center, Stevens, PA. He was born to the late John and Jeannette Norton, November 20, 1945 in Camden, NJ. Len graduated from Middletown Township High School, NJ in 1963, received a BS in Bible from Philadelphia College of Bible in 1967, a Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1971 and a Masters in Human Organizational Science from Villanova University in 1986. Len was a missionary church planter with SEND International in the Republic of the Philippines for 25 years. During his ministry, six churches were formed in the Philippines and Len played a part in helping the local Philippine church commission Filipinos to missionary service in Taiwan, Spain and Poland. At the age of 55, Len was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. During the last eight years of his life, he resided in Lancaster County, PA. He was an active participant at the Adult Day Services Program at Landis Homes before becoming a full time resident at Denver Health and Rehabilitation Center. He is survived by two sons, Peter of King of Prussia, PA and Andy, husband of Beth of Lititz, PA and two brothers, Jack of Buffalo, NY and Paul of Cape May Court House, NJ. A Memorial Service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2151 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA on Saturday, June 15 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Len's memory to SEND International Philippine Sending Council, Box 513, Farmington, MI 48332 or to Landis Homes, Adult Day Services, 1001 E. Oregon RD., Lititz, PA 17543
