Katie S. Farrell, 27, of Lebanon, PA, went home to be with Jesus while surrounded by loved ones at sunset on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon. Born in Hershey, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Teresa Shuman Farrell.  Following the death of her parents, Katie and her siblings were cared for by their late grandparents, John A. and Karen Shuman.

Katie accepted Jesus as her Savior as a child and was a member of Chiques Church.  She graduated from Palmyra High School in 2018.  Although she lived at Renova Center in Lebanon for six years, she remained in contact with family through frequent phone calls and visits. Katie enjoyed playing UNO, singing, reading, writing notes to people, being outdoors, watering flowers, going to church, and playing hand bells. Katie loved to have fun, and had a contagious giggle. She was a great conversationalist and loved to give hugs.

She is survived by two siblings, Ryan Farrell and Patricia Farrell; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Kirsten Farrell.

The family will receive guests during a public viewing on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Chiques Church, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim, beginning at 10:00 AM followed by a graveside service at 11:00 AM in the adjoining cemetery.  A memorial service will be held that afternoon at 2:00 PM at the Chapel at Cedar Haven, 590 South 5 ^th Avenue, Lebanon, PA.
