Iva Jane Campbell, 91, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Paramount Senior Living in Maytown. Born on June 1st, 1935 in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Edward A. Olds, III and the late Lois M. Axe Olds and raised by her grandparents, Ephraim and Barbara Longenecker. She was the wife of the late John W. Campbell for 25 years prior to his passing in 1978.

Iva was a faithful member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elizabethtown. She was a 1953 graduate of Elizabethtown High School. Iva was employed as an administrative assistant for The Continental Press for 33 years prior to retiring in 1997.

Lovingly referred to as “Nanny” by so many, she touched all who knew her with her unwavering love and generous spirit, her sharp wit, and her soulful blue eyes. Iva’s passions included cooking and canning, playing cards, and spending countless hours with family and friends. She enjoyed childhood visits to New York City, and annual summers in Mystic, Connecticut. Her adventurous side took her on memorable travels across the U.S. and Europe. She took to the skies and Solo Piloted in October of 1992.

She is survived by three children, Cynthia Campbell-Baird, (Barclay), of Lancaster, John W. Campbell, (Rebecca), of Naples, FL, and Ann Campbell Patton, (Michael) of Phoenix, AZ. Beloved by grandchildren Bree Kelly (Shawn), Trisha Schoenberger (Michael), Lauri Hawthorne, Dagan Hawthorne (Tami Garber), Dylan Campbell (Aliena Walrond), Taylor Campbell, and Reyn Patton. Great grandchildren Hannah Mongno (Armani), Jett Kelly, Dax Kelly, Dallan Schoenberger, Tavan Schoenberger, Kaia Becker, and Devyn Becker, and great-great grandson Waylon Mongno. She was preceded in death by a son, Geary W. Campbell.

A Worship Service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, October 22nd at 11am at Christ Lutheran Church, 75 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. There will be no viewing. The family will receive guests at the church immediately prior to the service from 10:30am until the time of the service. Please omit flowers.
