Helen J. DeLong, 86, of Manheim, PA, died Sunday evening, March 7, 2010 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim, PA. Born in Rapho Twp., Lancaster County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph G. and Viola Patterson Gibble. She was the wife of the late Harold L. DeLong who died May 5, 2009. A homemaker, Mrs. DeLong was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Manheim. In addition to enjoying solving word search puzzles and creating crafts, she was a talented seamstress, an excellent cook, and a basket weaver. She is survived by three daughters, Dawn M., wife of Stanley Gibble, of Summerfield, FL, Carole A., wife of James Fry, of Lancaster, PA, and Kimberly J., wife of Steven Sprecher, of Manheim; four grandchildren; two great granddaughters; and a brother, Claude, husband of Verna Gibble, of Kingston, NY. Services will be private. There will be no viewing. The family requests that flowers please be omitted.
