Glenn Marlin Brandt, 84, born April 4, 1942 to the late Abner and Martha, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 5, 2026, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.
Glenn was a lifelong member of Chiques Church in Manheim, PA, where his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ was an important part of his life. He loved the Lord and looked forward with great anticipation to his heavenly home.
Glenn shared 62 wonderful years of marriage with his loving wife, Sandra (McEllhenney) Brandt, who was faithfully by his side throughout their life together. He was a devoted husband, loving father, a proud grandfather and great-grandfather.
In addition to his wife, Glenn is survived by his four children: Kathy Beistline, married to Rich; Timothy Brandt, married to Tina; Daniel Brandt, married to Wafi; and Beth Brandt. He will also be lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren and nine great grand-children, who brought him immeasurable joy.
Some of Glenn’s happiest moments were spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He treasured every visit, looked forward to their hugs and enthusiastic “high fives,” and took great delight in watching them grow. His love for his family was evident in the time and attention he gave them, and the memories they shared will be cherished forever.
Glenn is also survived by his four brothers, Larry, Carl, Mark and Dale, and his sister, Rhoda Hoover.
Glenn retired from The Hershey Chocolate Company after 45 years of dedicated service as a millwright. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed keeping busy, whether tending to his garden, inventing something new, or tinkering with anything mechanical. He had a natural curiosity and a knack for figuring out how things worked. He found satisfaction in creating, fixing, and making things last longer.
Above all his accomplishments and interests, Glenn’s greatest treasure was his family and his faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, kindness, and devotion to the Lord. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is now home with Jesus.
A funeral service will be held on Monday morning, November 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Chiques Church, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim, PA. The family will receive guests at a viewing, Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the church and again Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery immediately following the service, after which, all are invited to join the family for luncheon. If desired, contributions may be made to the Chiques Church Benevolent Fund. To express a condolence with the family, visit www.spencefuneralservices.com.
