In his younger years, he visited the children at the former Crippled Children's Hospital in Elizabethtown as a clown. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two step children, Walter K. Gerlach, at home, and Kelly J., wife of Brian T. Brewbaker, of Middletown, PA; a granddaughter, Aliyah Marie Brewbaker; and a brother, Bart J. Catalano of Staunton, VA. A memorial service will be held on Friday afternoon, April 12, 1013 at 2:00 PM at Bossler Mennonite Church, 2021 Bossler Road, Elizabethtown, PA with Pastors Fred Garber, Nelson Bechtold, and Melvin Weaver officiating.
