Evelyn M. Janzen, 81, of Manheim, PA, entered her heavenly reward on Tuesday afternoon, November 11, 2014 at ManorCare in Lancaster. Born in Kansas City, KS, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Baillie and the late Irma Van Horn Baillie Bright. She was the loving wife of George H. Janzen for 46 years on April 19.
Evelyn was a member of Calvary Church in Lancaster, PA where, alongside her husband, served in the Children's Ministry. She later earned a BA degree in organ performance from Bob Jones University and a Master's degree in Missions from Columbia International University in preparation for a career as a missionary representing Global Recordings Network and Child Evangelism Fellowship. Her last 13 years of employment were devoted to being an Immigration Consultant for a family owned business. She retired in 2009.
She was an accomplished organist and pianist and taught piano technique to many, many students over the years. The passion she developed as a child for planning family vacations remained throughout her entire life. Although she traveled internationally, she enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada as well.
