Emmett R. Lehman, 82, of Holtwood, PA, formerly of Greencastle, died Tuesday morning, May 23, 2017. Born in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Victor H. and Edith B. Horst Lehman. He was the husband of Eunice C. Hurst Lehman for 60 years on June 16, 2016.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by eight children, Crystal F. Lehman King, wife of A. J. King, Joy C. Lehman Cotton, wife of Victor R. Cotton, II, Emmett R. Lehman, Jr., husband of Jody (Petticoffer) Lehman, Douglas P. Lehman, husband of Nicole M. (Camplese) Lehman, Dirksen J. Lehman, husband of April D. (McKinney) Lehman, Anne L. Lehman Dillman, wife of Bradley J. Dillman, Patrick C. Lehman, husband of Melody A. (Habecker) Lehman, and Theodore H. Lehman, husband of Amy E. (Sauder) Lehman; 24 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a brother, Leo C. Lehman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Lehman.
Ever the student, he was a man of faith and family. His mission was to finish his race as a good and faithful servant, and to maintain always fidelity to his commitments as a husband to his wife and father to his daughters and sons. He succeeded.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning, May 30, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Willow Street Mennonite Church, 399 East Penn Grant Road, Willow Street, PA with Rev. Marvin L. Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive guests during a viewing at the church on Monday evening from 6-8:00 PM and on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
