Dorothy R. Mueller, 88, of Elizabethtown, PA, passed into eternity on Tuesday afternoon, December 12, 2017 at Masonic Health Care Center. Born in Maytown, PA, she was the daughter of the late John P. and Dorothy M. Ney Singer. She was the wife of the late Warren G. Mueller, Sr. who passed in 1993. Dorothy was a graduate of the former East Donegal High School in Maytown and was a member of the First Church of God in Elizabethtown. She was employed as a floral designer by her family business, Mueller Flower Shop, for 50 years before retiring in 2003. Earlier, she was employed by Wyeth in Marietta. She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter No. 407, in Elizabethtown. Knitting afghans and other items was a favorite pastime. She is survived by two sons, Warren G., Jr., husband of Kathryn A. Symons Mueller, and David B., husband of Marjorie E. Symons Mueller, both of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Lara Strickler, Kelly Divel, Sean Mueller, Alicia Bohn, and Chad Mueller; six great grandchildren; and three siblings, Beryl Kuhn of Maytown, John, husband of Millie Singer, of Freemont, OH, and LuAnn, wife of Stan Michonski, of Maytown. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Armold. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday afternoon, December 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM at First Church of God, 144 South Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 with Pastor Michael R. Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in Elizabethtown Mennonite Cemetery. The family will receive guests during a viewing at the church on Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
