Obituary

Donald R. Casselbury, 88, of Manheim, PA, formerly of Binghamton, NY, comfortably passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday afternoon, May 11, 2016, following a brief illness. Born in Endicott, NY, he was the son of the late Ethal P. and Hazel A. Palmer Casselbury. He was the husband of Elise M. Katzor Casselbury for 40 years before her passing in 2006. Don was an Episcopalian by faith. He served his country in the Naval Reserve for 30 years as a flight engineer. He also had a long and satisfying career with New York Bell Telephone Company as a telephone technician for 40 years. He was a former member of the Lions Club in Deposit, NY, a 61 year life-member of the Binghamton Elks Lodge No. 7 in Kirkwood, NY, and a life-member of the American Legion, Post No. 883. In addition to camping and being an avid golfer, he was an accomplished maker of fine furniture and enjoyed restoring historic homes to their original beauty. He is survived by his daughter, Lynn M. Casselbury of Conklin, NY; a brother, Richard, husband of Bonnie Casselbury, of Indigo CA; a brother-in-law, Karl Katzor of Manheim; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Private interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Please omit flowers.
