David F. Espenshade, 39,of 223 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA, went home to be with the Lord peacefully Friday morning, May 14, 2010, at his home. Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of David E. Espenshade of Penhook VA., and Patricia A. Gebhardt Espenshade Brinser of Elizabethtown. He was the husband of Connie A. Fry Espenshade for eight years on October 13, 2009. David was a construction worker for five years for Abel Construction in Mountville, PA. Prior to that, he was a truck driver for more than five years for Garber Farms in Mount Joy, PA. David enjoyed driving in the Mother's Day Make-a-Wish convoy which he did for many years. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two step children, Christopher M. Schaefer and Meghan M. Schaefer, both at home; and a brother, Matthew J. Espenshade of Elizabethtown. Family and guests are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday morning, May 22, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA with Rev. A. Preston Van Deursen officiating. The family will receive guests at the chapel on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. The family requests that flowers please be omitted.
