Daniel R. Seiders, 55, formerly of Elizabethtown, PA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday afternoon, April 26, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Harrisburg following a brave fight with a lengthy illness. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of William L. Seiders of Elizabethtown and the late Grace Glass Seiders. He was the husband of Sherri L. Fahnestock Seiders for four years on June 29.
Dan was a member of Immanuel Christian Fellowship in Manheim where he was active with the food ministry and the Band of Brothers group. He also attended the Manheim Campus of LCBC with his wife. He was employed as a raw chemical weigher by Johnson & Johnson in Lititz for 17 years. Previously, he was employed at Sensenich Propellers and Highland Tank.
Dan was an awesome cook, specializing in making chili and creating espresso drinks. In addition to having a passion for NASCAR and Jimmy Johnson, he enjoyed traveling, Caribbean cruises, and visiting wine country. Dan had a great sense of humor that would cause others to laugh and his light personality had a way of putting others at ease. He truly enjoyed spending time with friends. In his younger years, he had a pilot's license and flew small planes and he enjoyed hunting.
In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by three children, Alexander Seiders of Elizabethtown, Allisa Martin of Elizabethtown, and Kerri, wife of joseph Buckwalter, of Manheim; a granddaughter, Addison Buckwalter, and looking forward to a second grandchild later this year. He is also survived by two siblings, William Seiders, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, and Merilee, wife of Joseph Waddell, of Lindenwold, NJ.
