Daisy C. Kline, 97, of Manheim, PA, peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 25, 2010 at her home. Born in Mastersonville, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma Caslow Gibble. She was the wife of the late Willoughby W. Kline, Sr. who died in 1979, just months from them celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Daisy worked on the family farm with her husband their whole lives. She was the oldest member of Chiques Church of the Brethren in Manheim. In addition to enjoying crocheting and playing games, she loved life and was kept busy with all her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie L. , wife of Harold C. Dundore, Jr., with whom she lived; two daughters-in-law, Edith Diffenderfer Kline and Mabel Alleman Wealand, both of Manheim; three grandchidren, Donna Engle, Connie Kline, and J. Kenneth Kline, Jr.; two step granddaughters, Nichole Conner and Heather Stover; eight great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Willoughby Kline, Jr. and J. Kenneth Kline, Sr.; and siblings Walter Gibble, Mabel Carroll, and Webster Gibble.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Chiques Church of the Brethren, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim, PA. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive guests at the church on Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 PM and on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
