Catherine R. Lehman, 92, of Elizabethtown, PA, passed into eternity on Monday afternoon, November 17, 2014, at Rheems Nursing Center following a period of declining health. Born in Farmersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Anita Reese Witmer. She was raised by Cornelius and Hulda Graybill Catherine was a member of Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ Church. Prior to retiring, she was employed by the former Klein Chocolate Factory and as a machine operator by the former Hesteco Dress Factory, both in Elizabethtown. In retirement, she volunteered at the Re-Uzit Shop in Mount Joy and assisted in caring for her two grandchildren. Catherine enjoyed quilting, crocheting, making candy and cookies, and growing flowers. She was a member of the Elizabethtown McDonald's Club where she could be found most mornings enjoying the company of her friends. Mrs. Lehman is survived by a daughter-in-law, Gail L. Lehman of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren, Melissa S. Lehman of Lawn, PA, and Duane M. Lehman of Elizabethtown; and a brother, Lester, husband of Margaret "Peg" Witmer, of New Holland, PA. She was preceded in death by two children, Darrel L. Lehman and Sharon Lehman; and several brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be held on Saturday afternoon, November 22, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Elizabethtown Brethren in Christ Church, 996 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA with Pastor Stephen M. Lane officiating. Interment will be in the Chiques Cemetery, Manheim. The family will receive guests at the church on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
