Carla Lynn Ifera, aged 68, died unexpectedly on September 12, 2022, at her residence in York, Pennsylvania.  She was born on April 8, 1954, in Washington D.C. to Carolyn Keely and Carlo Ifera.

Carla graduated from Stafford High School in the class of 1972 and continued her education at a vocational school to obtain a license in cosmetology.  She worked various jobs throughout her life but mostly enjoyed work where she was able to express her talent in interior design. Her hobbies included reading, writing short stories, and composing poetry.

In her early 20's she married Dennis Sommerfeld and together they had a daughter Holly.

Carla is survived by her daughter, Holly Sommerfeld of Maine, a granddaughter Jamilah Arroyo of Lancaster, PA, two siblings Joy Warren of Lewisberry, PA and Raymond Ifera of Crane TX, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial for Carla has been planned on October 2, 2022.  Carla is best remembered for her generous and kind heart and always putting the needs of others above herself. She will be missed dearly by her friends, family and every life that she had an impact upon.  May her soul rest in peace.
