Obituary

Alfred S. Breaud, 77, of Manheim, PA, passed peacefully at home on Monday morning, May 26, 2014 surrounded by his family. Born in Gramercy, LA, he was the son of the late Robert S. and Ophelia M. Rodrique Breaud. He was the husband of Dolores J. Kissinger Breaud for 33 years. Alfred was baptized in the Catholic faith. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a welder by the former Clever Brooks in Lebanon until the company closed. He then worked as welder for Herr Industrial at their Lebanon plant. Most recently, he was employed by Manheim Auto Auction as a security man until his illness. Alfred was a member of the American Legion, Post #56 and a life member of VFW Post #1463, both in Lititz. In addition to his wife, he is survived by nine children, Alene (A. Michael) Swisher, of Jonestown, Roseanna (Thomas) Nickles, of Fredericksburg, Steven (Victoria) Breaud, of North Carolina, Ralph (Kathleen) Breaud, of Lititz, Deborah DeLong of Lititz, Gladys Schaeffer of Lititz, Ruth Mae (J. Timothy) Loercher, of Manheim, Frank Schaeffer of Lititz, and Dennis (Tammy) Schaeffer, of Manheim; 22 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and three siblings, Thelma Bailey, Kathleen (Donald) Deroche, and Huey (Mary) Breaud, all of Gramercy, LA. He was preceded in death by six siblings, Clifford Breaud, Larry Breaud, Robert Breaud, Pearl Braud, and infant twins. Services and interment are private in his home state of Louisiana.
