Obituary

A. Louise Meiskey, 72, of Lititz, PA, passed away on Saturday evening, September 5, 2026 at Luther Acres in Lititz. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Isaac F. and Lydia S. Beiler Stoltzfus. She was the wife of the late Edmund “Ed” Meiskey who passed in 2024.

Louise was a member of Grace Church in Lititz. She was a student in the Pequea Area School District and attended Franklin and Marshall College. Prior to retiring, she was employed by Susquehanna Bancshares in Lititz. Previously, she was employed by the former Lititz Office Products, Morning Star Daycare and Preschool, and Dusco Associates where she processed rental income from lessees at Park City Mall. In her early years, she was employed by Kaleco Knitwear and Ashmore Sportswear, Rubinson’s Department Store in New Holland, Penn Dutch Farm Systems, and Shady Maple.

Louise’s sense of humor, cheerful heart, and generous spirit will be missed by everyone.

Louise is survived by a daughter, Karla J. Grothe of Hanover; a grandson, Hunter Grothe; four siblings, Fannie, wife of the late Amos Stoltzfus, of Pen Yan, NY, Melvin B., husband of Anna Stoltzfus, of Gordonville, David E., husband of Leah Stoltzfus, of New Holland, and Aaron B., husband of Becky Stoltzfus, of Linville, VA; a sister-in-law, Marcia, wife of Lee Klopp, of Lititz; and a brother-in-law, Neil, husband of Julie Meiskey, of Lititz. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Ruth Stoltzfus.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon, September 26, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the community room at Luther Acres, 400 St. Luke Drive, Lititz, PA. There will be no viewing. The family will receive guests in the community room from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made in her memory to the benevolent fund of Luther Acres, 600 East Main Street, Lititz, PA 17543 or to The American Red Cross, 430 17th Street, NW, Washington, DC 2006.
